Introduction Motivation is defined as Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal. Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors such as the (1) intensity of desire or need, 2) incentive or reward value of the goal, and (3) expectations of the individual and of his or her peers (Business Dictionary, 2014). Major brands and organisations, for example Kelloggs, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Google and JD Wetherspoon are increasingly allocating resources and research into employee motivation. These companies believe that their performance and growth in the market is a direct result of staff motivation, deriving from the recruitment, training and development opportunities (businesscasestudies, 2014). Organisations are realising that motivated employees could potentially grow the brand reputation and increase profits. If employees are well motivated, they are likely to feel fulfilled and happy in the workplace. Subsequently, they are more likely to be more productive and produce higher quality work. A Daughter Pushed to the Brink in Joy Luck Club In Amy Tans novel, Joy Luck Club, the mother of Jing-mei recognizes only two kinds of daughters: those that are obedient and those that follow their own mind. Perhaps the reader of this novel may recognize only two types of mothers: pushy mothers and patient mothers. The two songs, Pleading Child and Perfectly Contented, which the daughter plays, reinforce the underlying tension in the novel. These songs represent the feelings that the daughter, Jing-mei, has had throughout her life. The mother in this novel is pushy. She wants her daughter to become a child prodigy so badly she can practically taste it. She makes Jing-mei perform tests out of magazines to see if she†¦show more content†¦Jing-mei did not want to have anything to do with her mothers plans for her to become a child prodigy, but goes along because she cant quite say no to her mother yet. Soon after her lessons begin with Mr. Chong, she finds out that he is deaf. This means that he could not hear when she played a wrong note. So during her lessons, she purposely didnt try. And if she hadnt practiced enough, she could get away with it by just keeping a smooth, steady pace. She kept playing the wrong notes and he didnt even realize it: Mr. Chong just kept going on with the lessons. About a year later, Mr. Chong and Jing-meis mother wanted her to play in a talent show that was going to be held at the church. Jing-mei was going to play a piece called Pleading Child. Her parents invited just about everyone they knew to come and watch their daughter in her moment of glory. When Jing-meis time came to play her piece, she was so proud of the way she looked that she wasnt even worried about how she was going to sound. She walked up to the bench, sat down, and just started playing away. Then it hit her. She didnt know the piece, and just about every note she hit was wrong. When she was finished, she knew what she had done had been awful. She stood up, did her curtsey, and slowly walked back to her seat. Question: Write your proposal is on Coffee plantation with a farm resort. Answer: During the making of this presentation, I found that doing a group work is very challenging task. When we got the assignment by our professor, we were very excited to do the same, as the topic was of much interest for all of us. We met in the class and used to discuss on different themes of our presentation. Finally, the team leader decided to allocate different task to different member. Like, for example, I was given the task to design the presentation and one of my friends was allocated with the work of collecting information and pictures. While the other one was asked to do the referencing. My work was the most boring one I guess, because I had to wait long for the information to be gathered by my friends. We met together as a team, outside on two occasions. My most significant contribution on this group presentation was to help my team launch our presentation in a collaborative spirit. We decided that we will be using artistic and creative interpretation of each of the presentation slide. I gave my best to do so. Right from the choosing back ground images for the slides to using the font styles, I took into consideration the suggestions of all my friends. The one who was given the job to gather information was however; somewhat late to provide me with them but we made it finally. I also stimulated electronic communication between the group members so that the discussion could kept alive via phone conversation and emails. I also focused on developing effective marketing and initial investment budget. Through these budgets I tried to focus on elaborating the financial expenses and capital requirement for the new tourism business. Moreover, I have also provided certain statistical data on growth of tourism industry in the selected Australi an tourism spots. This is in order to estimate the growth rate of the new business in these regions.

Sistine Chapel Essays - Bereshit, Book Of Genesis,

Sistine Chapel The Presence of God Michelangelo's paintings on the Sistine Chapel contain a strong presence of God. The ideas and stories of the Bible lie at the surface of the entire ceiling. All these stories are taking from the book of Genesis, which would not be possible without God. The scenes depicted are placed in a time frame of an earlier world. This period is called ante legem, and is the period before the Mosaic Law. The scenes can be analyzed in numerous ways that depend on the analyzers faith and interpretation of the beginning of time. The chapel contains nine stories divided into three trilogies: The Creation of the World, the Creation of Man, and the Story of Noah. All of these stories have a strong Godly presence, as the viewer sees the creation, progression, and, eventual, fall of man. The idea of God evolves from panel to panel by allowing the onlooker to consider God in three different situations forcing his role to change throughout each. The establishment of the vision of diverse, yet related sym bols of biblical foundations presents a sense of the supernatural and divine world. The stories embody separate motifs; but, the piece is expressed as a unified whole with God being the only consistent presence in either idea or visual portrayal. The order of the ceiling, according to the book of Genesis, should be read from the Separation of Light from Darkness to the Drunkenness of Noah, if the viewer reads in chronological order. The Creation of the World is the first out of the three trilogies. This focuses on the emergence of God's presence, arising from his creation of the earth and the cosmic environment. the Separation of Light from Darkness exemplifies the physicality of God in the beginning of his worldly universe. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light... and God divided the light from the darkness1 This story is depicted in this scene, where Michelangelo shows God whirling in a spinning motion. The shading and use of light and dark creates a feeling of the light and dark in the midst of division. God furthers his role as worldly creator in the Creation of Sun , Moon, and Planets by making two great lights; the greater light to rule the day; and the lesser one to rule the night2. God appears to be in circular motion once again; but, in this instance, he seems as if he is circulating the newly created universe. He is, at first, transpiring from the universe, and then, turns his back to the viewer to concentrate on a new object in process of establishment. The final story of the origin of the world is the Separation of Land from Water. God is perceived as an ominous being, flying above the sea, and reaching out to the heavens. He appears to be extending his arms outward to a nonexistent boundary, as if he was luring the land out of the sea. Michelangelo, in the Creation of the World, demonstrates God's limitless power by illusions of movement. The arm position, the masterful flying, and the seemingly face paced motion persuades the viewer to see a universal creator, above all fathomable beings. God appears to be traveling through all earthly dimensions, as if forcing the creation on the undeveloped world before him. The second role of God is the Creator of Man. This section is in the center of the Sistine Chapel promoting the most concentration. This is undoubtedly strategically placed, for the importance of God's role to the God creates man to rule his last creation of the universe. This section tells the story from the creation of the primarily pure to the emergence of a sinful world. The Creation of Adam delineates God giving life to Adam. This scene encompasses an intense feeling because of the naturalistic connection between Adam and God. The body language and the positioning show the events in the story. The touching fingers give a sense of the intense power traveling from God and being transported to the fingertips of Adam. Michelangelo painted this scene with a definite basis of the bible's description, so that the viewer can actually see that God
